چکیده

Background and objective: Little is known about paraoxonase1 (PON1) activity its relation to Coronary Artery Disease (CAD). This study aimed assess the association of serum PON1 with myocardial infarction found out possible relationship High density lipoprotein (HDL-C) in patients MI. had also examined age, gender, lipid profile evaluate by changing parameters as a risk factor. Methods: case-control was carried at College Medicine-Hawler Medical University, from 18th February 2019 September 2020. Blood specimens were obtained MI Hawler Cardiac center. A total number 176 participants enrolled this grouped into 120 (36 females 84 males) diagnosed consultants 56 subjects healthy controls (30 26 males). Measurements (PON1, Troponin profile) determined both control group. Statistically SPSS version package 20 used. Results: The results revealed significant decrease (3.07±0.18 ng/ml) comparing (4.79±0.27 (P<0.01). levels Total cholesterol, Triglycerides, LDL-C significantly higher (P<0.01) when compared controls. According gender it 36(30%) females, males 84(70%). Conclusion: concluded that low activity.

Serum paraoxonase after myocardial infarction.

HDL has been shown to prevent the oxidative modification of LDL. The antioxidant activity of HDL is believed to reside in its enzymes, particularly paraoxonase. Human serum paraoxonase (PON1) is closely associated with a specific HDL subfraction also containing apoA1 and clusterin. Recently PON1 has been implicated in the pathogenesis of atherosclerosis. We have examined the activity, concentra...

[Association between paraoxonase-1 and paraoxonase-2 polymorphisms and the risk of acute myocardial infarction].

INTRODUCTION AND OBJECTIVES Two particular polymorphisms, namely PON1-192 and PON2-311, in the genes encoding the antioxidant enzymes paraoxonase-1 (PON1) and paraoxonase-2 (PON2) have been associated with an increased risk of acute myocardial infarction (AMI). However, previous findings have been contradictory. The aim of this study was to investigate the association between the PON1-192 and P...

High carbohydrate diets enhances lipogenesis and reduces Paraoxonase-1 activity in Isoproterenol induced Myocardial Infarction

Improving diet is a critical component in the management of cardiovascular diseases such as myocardial infarction (MI). Most of the staple diets used worldwide, especially by Asians are high in carbohydrates. The key aim of this study was to investigate how different high carbohydrate diets (HCD) affect paraoxonase-1 (PON1) and lipogenic enzymes activity along with the lipid levels. Rats were f...
